Major Jack

Major Jack is part of the gaming community for the fun, the laughs, and the stories born when a perfectly good plan goes completely off the rails. His game library covers nearly everything—Call of Duty, The Division, Halo, Helldivers, Borderlands, Ghost Recon, Split Fiction, Meccah Chameleon, and an ever-growing list beyond them.

For Jack, gaming is just as much about the people as it is about the mission. He enjoys hearing how other gamers approach a game, because every player brings a different strategy, experience, and perspective—and sometimes the conversation is every bit as entertaining as the action. He is also happy to help chill gamers find their way through menus, upgrades, tools, and the systems that make a new game easier to understand.

Away from the controller, Jack has a wealth of knowledge spanning the nerdverse, music, and movies. He usually has a perfectly timed quote or comical voice ready to go—and occasionally one that arrives at exactly the wrong moment. Coming from a long line of guitarists, he proudly continues the family tradition by playing guitar himself. His favourite band is 311, while his wider soundtrack reaches from Placebo, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token to oldies, ’90s favourites, and newer releases.

Jack grew up in the Northeast in the 1980s, where winters meant snowboarding, the pizza was always fresh, and much of his time was spent camping and exploring outdoors—with the occasional good book along for the ride. These days, he lives in the Southeast with his wife of 23 years. Together, they have built a life filled with shared adventures, from riding bike trails and quadding to cooking memorable meals side by side. He is also a small business owner who understands that a full life is shaped by both hard work and time well spent.
